Armadale Community Animal Rescue Group Inc commenced in Feb 2012 by opening a Rescue Shelter at 251 Railway Ave Kelmscott to provide rescue and rehoming opportunities for abandoned and relinquished animals.

In June 2012 the Op Shop at unit 2/5 Gillam Drive Kelmscott was developed to help support the Rescue Shelter financially.

In March 2017 ACARG opened the Animal Welfare Op Shop in Sunlight Street, Port Kennedy to fund the program of a free desexing and microchipping service to the Rockingham, Kwinana, Baldivis and Mandurah areas. This provides the opportunity for pensioner and disability cardholders to bring their animals in line with the new cat and dog laws.

There is now a second shop in Gillam Drive Kelmscott that will finance the program of free desexing and microchipping for pensioners and disability cardholders in the Armadale and surrounding areas.

Snip and Chip

These Op Shops are vital in providing the financial support to aid in the eventual aim of ACARG- that being to see that all animals are brought into line with the new state laws of desexing and microchipping for all cats and microchipping for all dogs.

To apply for assisted desex and microchip for those who hold a concession, disability or pension card please come in and fill in an application form.

To help us help others we need donations of furniture, bric a brack, linen, books, DVDs/CDs, clothing, toys and electrical goods. If you have a trailer load or more we can pick up in certain areas by arrangement.
